The Windermere Dirt Divas defeated the Dr.
Phillips Panthers 2-1 in a three game series played at Shadow Bay Park on June 2 and 3.
Windermere defeated Dr. Phillips 10-2 in Game 1. The game was close
for most of the game and Windermere entered the 4th inning with a
2-1 lead. The Dirt Divas scored 4 in the 5th inning and 3 in
the 6th inning to take the first game 10-2. Madison Paulson
pitched a three hitter with 11 strike outs in route to the victory.
Game two was the complete opposite of Game
1. The Panthers defeated the Dirt Divas 12-1 setting up the rubber game
of the series for Sunday afternoon. Dr. Phillips scored 2 in the top of
the first inning to draw first blood. However, the Dirt Divas got 1 in
the bottom of the first and five in the bottom of the second on Madison Paulson’s
three run triple. Jessica Chabot held the Panthers without a run for the
remainder of the game for the victory and Top Team Championship.

Minors
The Chargers completed the season with a 13 and 3 record. They finished
in 2nd place in the Top Team Tournament behind the Dr. Phillips Golden
Knights. The Chargers won the first game 16 to 10 against the Dr.
Phillips Thunder. They lost a close game 10-9 to the Dr. Phillips
Golden Knights and finished strong with an 8 to 3 win over the
Windermere Scrappers.
